Child Care Subsidy

Easy application

The Child Care Subsidy Program provides provincial support to eligible families to help with the cost of care by reducing childcare fees for children from the ages of 12 weeks to 12 years.

Please Note: Effective September 13, 2026, both the family contribution and non-subsidized daily fee will be eliminated for all eligible families under the Child Care Subsidy Program. Making child care free for eligible Manitoba families.

Your eligibility depends on various factors including:

  • Your income.
  • The number and age of your children
  • The number of days required for care.
  • The reason for care.

The subsidy eligibility estimator will help you to estimate if you may be eligible for a subsidy, and if so, the amount of subsidy you may be eligible for. Please use the Subsidy Eligibility Estimator before filling out a subsidy application.

  • confirmation of SIN letter
  • plastic SIN card (non-expired)

To be able to use the online subsidy application, you must first register. When you register, a username and password will be provided to you. Registration allows you to save and view your application for up to 30 days.
